After a thorough site investigation was completed, approximately 1,800 cubic yards of contaminated soil was removed from the site. The groundwater data indicated significant contamination was present in the vicinity of the former USTs. An ozone sparge system was installed to treat groundwater insitu. Contaminant concentration dropped to below site specific action levels within six months of the startup of the ozone treatment system. The site was closed only 18 months following the installation of the remediation system. |
